Events & Social

Throughout the year, the Broadmoor Curling Club (BCC) holds various events for members and those interested in the sport of curling.  If you would like to receive emails from the Broadmoor Curling Club to notify you of upcoming events such as those listed below, click on the Subscribe to Club Emails link on the menu on the left. 

  • Learn to Curl Clinics - provide an opportunity for the general public to learn the basic skills of the game in addition to scoring and basic strategy.  You'll have a chance to play a game. Come out and join us!  Learn why Curling is the fastest growing sport in the USA.  For information on Learn to Curl clinics click on the Learn to Curl Clinics link on the Home page.


  • Leagues - We offer Fall, Winter and Summer Leagues.  For information on our current leagues click on the Leagues link on the Home page and to register go to Upcoming Events on the home page.  You must be a club member to participate in our leagues.  On the last night of each league we hold an 'End of League party with food and drink while prizes are distributed.


  • Bonspiel - The 8th Annual High Altitude Bonspiel is April 26-28, 2013 at the World Arena in Colorado Springs.  This annual event attracts teams from across the US and Canada and the emphasis is on fun! This is an 'Open' format bonspiel.  Click on the bonspiel link on the home page for more details.


  • Social nights and fundraising - through the year we hold social events at various restaurants/bars in the Colorado Springs area.  The BCC earns money on the revenues at these events.  Come and mingle with other curlers, hear some great curling stories, enjoy great food and drink and help raise money for the BCC.  Social nights are open to the general public, folks will be on hand to answer any questions you have on curling.


  • Corporate Events - the BCC provides an opportunity for corporations to host Team Building Events through a private Learn to Curl clinic.  For more information click on Learn to Curl Clinics on the home page


  • Winter Sports Clinic - Members of the BCC join the Veterans Administration in Aspen/Snowmass each year to provide curling clinics to disabled veterans each year in the late March early April time frame.  For more information on wheelchair curling contact John West ajwest2@mindspring.com


  • Our End of Season Party and General Meeting is open to the public.  Come and find out all we did this year and our plans for next year!  These events are listed under the Upcoming events once they are finalized.

    Wednesday Night Summer League

    We are pleased to announce a 4 week Wednesday Night Summer League. To participate, you must be a paid member of the Broadmoor Curling Club.  You may enter as an individual, couple or team.  The league co-ordinator will form teams from individual and couple entries.  Newer curlers will be placed with experienced curlers.   If you form your own team of 5 players you may register as an Individual-5 Player Team. 

    Dates: May 22 and 29, June 5 and 12
    On June 12 we will have a tailgate party in parking lot prior to curling.  Prizes for the league will be distributed immediately following the last game.  

    Times: 7:15PM to 9:30PM 

    Cost: 100.00 per person for 4 weeks of curling, 80.00 for Youth/Junior members.  If you form your own team of 5 players it reduces the per person price.

    Equipment: All equipment is provided

    Spares: If you are unable to curl on any night we will have a spare list and it will be your responsibility to let your skip/team captain know, which night you can't attend and they will obtain a spare from the spare list. If you are unable to commit to 4 weeks but would like to curl a few nights we need spares.  If you are interested in sparing for this league please register on the website.  Spares pay $25.00 at the arena on nights they spare.
